Steve Heathcock is a singer songwriter from the West Midlands & is very proud of black country roots. He says he's not looking to be rich or famous, he's just an ordinary bloke who happens to write songs. He gained recognition as a competant songwriter through his previous album "The Cynic" which gained considerable airplay on it's release back in 2022, including BBC WM Black Country Radio's Live Sessions & on Smooth Radio's Drive Time. His England anthem in 2010 "England Forever" had airplay on Central News and Midlands Today as well as Steve having a live interview on BBC Radio 5 live with Victoria Derbyshire who compared him to Paul Weller! Steves influences include The Jam, Elvis Costello, Squeeze, Joe Jackson, Beautiful South & The Housemartins to name just a few. His love of harmonies shines through and he says that The Beatles, The Proclaimers & the Everley Brothers along with those artists already mentioned have all influenced his songwriting & style of singing. He is current;y working on a new batch of songs in memory of late mum Gloria who sadly passed in 2024 & who encouraged him to continue with his songwriting & singing
